With JobStreet.com Indonesia, Job Placement and Information Center (JPIC) Has Held Job Fair in Economics and Business Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya

Many people gathered in the basement of Building E of Economics and Business Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya. They were busy preparing some requirements to apply a job offered on “Quality Job Fair Universitas Brawijaya” held by Job Placement and Information Center (JPIC) and JobStreet.com Indonesia. Since the job fair conducted for two days that started from Friday (5/7) until Saturday (6/7) was open for public, many job applicants joined the event.

Regarding companies joining the job fair, there were more than 20 big companies found in the job fair. BFI Finance, Bank Mandiri Syariah, Bank Bukopin, Bank Central Asia, Cargill, Epson, Sosro, Asian Agri, Auto 2000, and Bank Rakyat Indonesia cooperating with Economics and Business Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya in recruiting staffs were some examples of the big companies. “This event is one of cooperation activities between JPIC and JobStreet.com Indonesia.”, said Akie Rusaktiva Rustam, S.E., MSA., Ak. as the Head of JPIC. Furthermore, the cooperation between JPIC and JobStreet.com Indonesia is expected to be better ahead since it is beneficial. JobStreet.com Indonesia provides job vacancies for the alumni of Economics and Business Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya, so there will be more alumni gaining jobs.

The more companies both directly and indirectly cooperating with Economics and Business Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya in recruiting staffs show that the alumni of Economics and Business Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya are qualified. However, it becomes a challenge for Economics and Business Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya to improve the quality of its students so that the students are worth choosing by either national companies or international ones. In addition, since ASEAN Economic Community will occur in 2015, both entrepreneurs and job applicants should be more qualified than the ones from other countries in South East Asia so that they will be easier to gain jobs.
